Legal

Every document that governs buying from us, written to be read rather than to be survived. Each one opens with a plain-English summary and says what law it is written against.

Most legal sections are written to be defensible. We have tried to write ones that are also checkable: every clause about your data names the database table it describes, every regulatory claim names the regulation, and where we promise more than the law requires, it is marked as a promise rather than disguised as a restatement of the law.

If any of it is unclear, ask — hello@duneair.com. A term you had to email us about is a term we wrote badly, and we would rather fix it than explain it twice.

Buying from us

The contract itself, and the three parts of it people most often need to find on their own.

  • Terms of sale

The contract between you and us when you buy a system, a survey or AirCare: what you get, what it costs, what happens after you pay, and what we owe each other if something goes wrong.

  • Cancelling and refunds

Your 14-day right to change your mind, how to use it, what happens if you asked us to start early, and when the right ends.

  • Guarantees and warranties

The three separate promises that cover your system — your statutory rights, our workmanship guarantee, and the manufacturer warranty — and what each one actually covers.

  • AirCare plan terms

The rolling monthly service plan: what the £14 covers, when it starts, what it does not include, and how to stop it.

Your data

What we hold, what we set in your browser, and how to complain about either.

  • Privacy notice

What we hold about you, why we are allowed to, who else touches it, how long we keep it, and how to make us stop. Written against the actual database rather than from a template.

  • Cookie notice

The two cookies this site sets, why they are exempt from needing your consent, and what would have to change for that to stop being true.

  • Complaints

How to complain about the work or about how we handled your data, what we do when you do, and how long each step takes.

Using this site

For anybody reading the guides, whether or not they ever buy anything.

  • Website terms of use

The terms for using this site itself — what you may do with what we publish, what our guides are and are not, and the limits of what we promise about the site.

Working with us

For engineers applying to fit for us, rather than for customers.

  • Installer application terms

What happens when you apply to fit for us: what we ask for, what we check, what we do with your certifications, and what we can and cannot tell you about the work yet.

Also worth knowing

Our accessibility statement is not a legal document — no private company is required to publish one — but it is written to the same standard and belongs in the same place in your head.
